Facebook and Instagram were the whole shop. That works until somebody wants to see everything she makes. A feed shows the most recent cake rather than the range, and a customer wondering what a three-tier involves ends up asking in a comment thread under a photo of something else.
A catalogue, on an address that is hers
Seven kinds of order set out plainly: single tier, tiered, the small ones with cupcakes, twin cakes, wedding cakes, custom cupcakes and giveaways. Her story, recent work, a menu, and the questions she had been answering one at a time. All of it on blissfulbites.ph, which she owns, so the business is not a tenant of somebody else’s algorithm.
Ordering where her customers already are
A bespoke cake is a conversation. Tiers, flavours, a date, usually a photo of something she is being asked to match. So the site does not try to replace that conversation, it sets it up: an order goes to Messenger, Instagram or a form, and it arrives with the customer already knowing what she can do.
The real thing
Impact
A shop she actually owns, instead of a page she rents from a platform.
